Summer 2024 is just a few months away! Springfield Public Schools is now recruiting staff for certified summer teaching positions!

 

If you are interested in working in one of the following summer programs, please complete an application online.

• SPARK Camp (current Kinders-7th grade) - July 8 - August 1
• Credit Recovery (High School) - July 8 - August 1

SPS is also accepting applications for the Extended School Year (ESY) Programs at the elementary and secondary levels.  ESY Programs will run from July 8 through August 1, 2024.

 

DATES

• Preparation Day: June 27
• Week 1: July 8-11 (M-Th)
• Week 2: July 15-18 (M-Th)
• Week 3: July 22-26 (M-Th)
• Week 4: July 29-Aug 1 (M-Th)
• Close: Aug 2 (staff as needed report to clean up, close out)

TIMES

• Elementary SPARK: 9:30 AM - 3:00 PM
• Middle School SPARK: 9:40 AM - 3:10 PM
• **Work day for SPARK staff is 8:30-3:30**

• High School Credit Recovery:
• Period 1: 8:30
• Period 2: 10:45
• Period 3: 1:15

Compensation

All summer positions will be paid at an hourly rate commensurate with the employee’s experience and education (based on transcripts provided).  If you have any questions about your compensation, please contact Human Resources.
